March 29, 2012

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Alumna Erin Andrews returns to the University of Florida on Wednesday. But instead of taking classes, she will be talking about being a woman in a man’s world.

ACCENT Speaker’s Bureau and Women’s History Month are bringing Andrews back to UF to discuss the struggles and accomplishments she has experienced as a woman in a male-dominated profession.

Andrews is a sportscaster and journalist for ESPN. In 2011, Andrews served as co-host of the well-known program in the network, “College GameDay.” She was also a contributor for “Good Morning America” on ABC.

She graduated in 2000 with a degree in telecommunications. During her time at UF, Andrews was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Florida Gators Dazzlers dance team.

Andrews will speak at 8 p.m. at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts, as well as take questions during a question-and-answer session. The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m.
