Institute of Black Culture at UF to celebrate 40th anniversary

WHO: Institute of Black Culture at the University of Florida

WHAT: The Institute of Black Culture is hosting a dinner to celebrate its 40th anniversary at the University of Florida. The event will feature keynote speaker Lori Patton, associate professor in the higher education program at the University of Denver and a contributing editor of “Culture Centers in Higher Education: Perspectives on identity, theory and practice,” which Stylus Publishing released in 2010. UF President Bernie Machen and Gainesville Mayor Craig Lowe will also speak. Admission is free and open to the public.
