Sophomore students' work displayed in Reitz gallery show

January 10, 2012

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The gallery at the University of Florida’s Reitz Student Union opens its first show of the semester, “Dream State,” on Wednesday.

“Dream State” is a collaborative effort of sophomore fine arts majors Alison Aycrigg, Jordan Kady and Zac Thompson. The show functions as a collective melding and simultaneous clashing of their independent ruminations on their dreams as artists. The styles highlight the way all ideas and worries melt together in a dream state and then come out in unexpected ways.

An opening reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 19 in the gallery. For more information, visit www.union.ufl.edu. The show continues until Jan. 27.
