UFPA hosts annual fundraising gala Jan. 28

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida Performing Arts hosts its Platinum Anniversary Fundraising Gala – “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” – from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts.

The annual event is UFPA’s largest fundraiser of the year and helps fund all of its programs, including outreach. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet buffet dinner will be provided by Blue Water Bay, and decorations will be supplied by Keith Watson Productions. Music, dancing, a silent auction and much more will make for a memorable evening with a winter wonderland theme.

Tickets for “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” are $200 each and can be purchased by calling 352-273-2480 or visiting www.performingarts.ufl.edu/giving/gala. Sponsorship opportunities for the Gala are also available.

For $300, attendees can become a Platinum Club Member and gain access to “Blizzard Blast” – a private reception – and “Crushed Ice” – the after party. A VIP Lounge will be open for upper-level Gala Sponsors beginning at 5:30 p.m.

UFPA, a not-for-profit organization, was recently named 2011 Best Overall Small Business at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards.
