Daniel Tosh performs Wednesday at O’Connell Center

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Popular comedian and television show host Daniel Tosh will be performing at the University of Florida on April 6 in the O’Connell Center, courtesy of ACCENT Speaker’s Bureau and Student Government Productions.

The show is open to UF students, faculty and staff only. Admission is free; however, a valid GATOR1 identification will be required for admittance.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. No cameras or taping will be allowed. For updates, please check the official event page on Facebook titled “ACCENT and SGP Present: A Night of Comedy with Daniel Tosh.”

Tosh is one of the most requested headliners in the country. He has also quickly evolved into one of the most popular and successful college acts, performing at more than 700 campuses. His casual style and sharp material have proven to be greatly appreciated by his audiences, both young and old.

Tosh’s first big career break came in 2001 with a performance on the “Late Show with David Letterman.” Tosh followed with appearances on programs such as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” He also hosted a local late-night comedy show in Florida called “Ten.” His hit TV show, “Tosh.0,” showcases Internet video clips, and premiered on June 5, 2009.
