Students’ ceramics to be exhibited in Focus Gallery

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — “Intersection: University of Florida Ceramics,” a collective exhibition showcasing current student work in ceramics at the University of Florida, opens March 21 in the Focus Gallery.

Juried by Steve Howell, this exhibition includes figure sculpture, conceptually based works, vessels and pottery from current first- and second-year graduate and post-baccalaureate students in the ceramics program. The show will represent the best of a wide range of student work that UF has to offer.

The Focus Gallery is located in the main lobby of Fine Arts Building C, on the University of Florida campus.

A public reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. March 28. The exhibition continues until April 1.

Focus Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Daytime parking is available in reserved spaces behind Fine Arts Building “C” on Inner Road. When traveling south on SW 13th Street, turn right on Museum Drive, right on Newell Drive, then right on Inner Road. Turn left into parking lot behind FAC; the first three spaces are marked for gallery use. Parking permits are issued to gallery visitors at the University Gallery.
