Students can prepare for break with safety fair

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida Police Department will host the 28th Annual UFPD Spring Break Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, the Reitz Student Union North Lawn.

The fair is a yearly informational event by the University of Florida Police Department for the purpose of providing essential personal and property safety information to vacationing UF students. The fair consistently receives the annual support of businesses and public safety organizations from around the community and state.

The fair will include safety information by the UFPD Community Services Division, the UFPD Office of Victim Services, Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the Gainesville Police Department, GatorWell, Alachua County Public Safety, UF Student Legal Services, and the Department of Transportation. The UFPD/CSD will also provide free bicycle theft prevention registrations.
