Fraternities, sororities gather more than 2,000 clothes for charity

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The UF Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council gathered 2,215 articles of clothing for the Children’s Home Society of Gainesville in the third annual clothing drive last week.

The Interfraternity Council donated 1,247 articles with the most, 304, from Beta Theta Pi; and 968 articles of clothing were donated by the Panhellenic Council, with the most, 245, from Delta Zeta.

The Children’s Home Society is a nonprofit organization that benefits children and families who are at risk of being abandoned, neglected or abused.
