UFPD releases sketch of robbery suspect

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida Police Department has released a composite sketch of one of the suspects in Tuesday’s armed robbery of the UF Bookstore buy-back tent near Carleton Auditorium.

Two men, one armed with a knife, robbed employees and fled on foot. Anyone with information about this crime, or the identity of the person depicted in the sketch, should contact the University of Florida Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 352-392-4705 or 352-392-1111.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his early 20s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet, thin and clean shaven. He was wearing long dark colored pants, a dark colored coat, and black beanie hat. The suspect was carrying a black handled knife.
