Open house at journalism college features tours, displays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15.

Visitors will be able to tour the radio and television stations, see displays of cutting-edge technology in the Center for Media Innovation and Research, and learn about the college’s four academic programs, graduate offerings, the mass communication minor, study abroad opportunities and student organizations.

The day will also feature a live remote from Rock 104 and a visit from UF mascot Albert. Anyone interested in a broadcast career can “jump start” his or her future by volunteering for training in the stations.

Everyone at UF is encourage to stop by, meet the faculty, staff, and students of the college, shake hands with Albert, enjoy free pizza, and learn about the college.
