GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Students are invited to take a tour of the various entities within the College of Journalism and Communications and to sign up to volunteer. Tours include information on the departments of journalism, telecommunication, advertising, public relations and photojournalism; WUFT-TV/FM, WLUF-LP and WRUF-AM/FM; and the Center for Media Innovation and Research (CMIR). CMIR is instrumental in developing tomorrow’s journalism and communication forms, by creating new ways of telling the stories that journalists tell — to develop new ways of disseminating strategic communications and to research the effectiveness of both.

The College of Journalism and Communications Open House will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 14 at Weimer Hall. For more information call 352-392-5551, ext. 1106.
