Roe v. Wade lawyer to speak at the University of Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Sarah Ragle Weddington gained her fame as a national figure when she took on the case of Roe v. Wade and triumphed. Since then, Sarah has been a dynamic defender of the decision. Sarah currently teaches pre-law at the University of Texas and is a motivational speaker who travels to colleges all over the nation. As a defender of abortion rights, she often debates cases which wish to overturn Roe.

Weddington will speak at UF on Wednesday March 3 in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 8 p.m. The event, free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by ACCENT Speakers Bureau, Women’s History Month, Student Government Cabinet, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and the Graham Center for Public Service.
