Health Award Announcement

The University of Florida’s won a competitive and very lucrative grant meant to speed the transformation of scientific discoveries into medical advances for patients. UF officials announced the receipt of the nearly twenty-six million dollar grant at a July 14th news conference. UF’s the only school in Florida to get the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical and Translational Science Award. The grant will support research in a wide range of health-related fields and gives the university an edge in attracting more NIH funding and fostering new partnership with industry.
