Media advisory: Hough Hall groundbreaking

WHAT: The official groundbreaking of William R. Hough Hall, which will house the Hough Graduate School of Business in the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida. The 70,000 square-foot building is projected to be completed in fall 2010.

WHERE: University of Florida campus, just south of Bryan Hall nearest to the northeast corner of the campus next to the intersection of West University Avenue and SW 13th Street. Enter at the main entrance to the campus at SW 2nd Avenue off of SW 13th Street.

WHEN: Saturday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m.

WHO: Speakers at the groundbreaking will include the following:

  • Bernie Machen, president, University of Florida
  • John Kraft, dean, Warrington College of Business Administration
  • William Hough, UF alumnus and majority benefactor of the building project
  • Howie Ferguson, UF coordinator of UF facilities planning
  • Rick Rowe, principal, Rowe Architects
