GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida Air Force ROTC led the way during the tri-service blood drive held on Thursday, Jan. 22 on the UF campus. The record-breaking blood drive was held as a friendly competition between each of the ROTC services, including Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. The Air Force branch, which collected 40 donated units, edged out the Army, which collected 36 donated units. Once the competition ended, it was clear that the real winner was the LifeSouth Community Blood Center and the numerous area patients in need of the donated blood.
