Victoria's Secret PINK stops in Gainesville for clothing drive

October 30, 2008

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Victoria’s Secret PINK is running a nation-wide Recycle Your Sweats campaign across 15 college campuses, including the University of Florida, to donate clothing to local charities benefiting women of domestic abuse.

Recycle Your Sweats is a national charity drive sponsored by Victoria’s Secret PINK on select college campuses across the country.

Now through December, University of Florida students and Gainesville residents will have the opportunity to drop off used clothing to a designated bin located at the Florida Book Store on 1614 W. University Ave.

Recycle Your Sweats at UF collects men’s, women’s and children clothing and gives the donated items to a local domestic abuse center, Peaceful Paths.

Peaceful Paths offers a crisis hotline, emergency shelter, support groups, victim advocacy, children’s programs, transitional housing, batterer intervention and education for victims of domestic abuse.
