Information Technology Security Awareness Day is Oct. 8

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The UF Information Technology Security Awareness (ITSA) Day will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 8. A conference will be held in the Reitz Student Union Auditorium. The event is sponsored by the Office of the Chief Information Officer and will be hosted by the UF IT Security Team.

Security experts from Intelguardians, Raytheon SI, Forensic Strategy Services and Agile Risk Management will present popular security issues such as Web application security and digital forensics. ITSA Day is targeted at professional IT workers at UF and those in education, government and business in the surrounding areas.

Bringing IT security awareness to campus IT workers and the community is a significant goal of the UF IT Security Team. This year’s event will include four sessions. ITSA Day is free and open to the public. No advanced registration is required.
