GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Museum of Natural History and the Quilters of Alachua County Day Guild are seeking entries for the exhibit “Quilting Natural Florida II” planned for spring 2010.

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of jurors to ensure the quilts represent or illustrate subjects of nature that are found in Florida. The subject matter may be representational or symbolic of Florida’s natural flora, fauna and environment.

“The Quilting Natural Florida show blends the skills and imagination of the quilting community with the mission of the Florida Museum of Natural History,” said exhibit organizer Gloria Craft Comstock. “The quilting community will portray the biodiversity of Florida that the museum examines through their creativity and exploration of the fiber medium.”

Entry forms are available on the Quilters of Alachua County Day Guild web site, www.qacdg.org, or by e-mailing Comstock, rg10001@bellsouth.net.
