GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A University of Florida student will appear on Tuesday’s episode of “The Price Is Right,” a popular game show on the CBS network.

Kristin Lundy, a senior in the College of Health and Human Performance, is a long-time fan of “The Price Is Right” and was excited to get tickets to a taping of the show. She was even more excited to hear her name called to “come on down” to contestants’ row.

“The whole thing was so surreal,” Lundy said. “I think I had a mild panic attack. My heart was beating so fast.”

Lundy and two of her friends decided to spend their spring break in Los Angeles and went to a taping of the show on March 10. They dressed up in Gator T-shirts, wore orange and blue beads and had an Albert tattoo on their faces.

To prepare for the show, Lundy said they went to the grocery store to price items in case they were selected to contestants’ row. They also researched prices of American-made cars.

Lundy, a health education and behavior major, said she had an amazing time on the show.

“Drew Carey is so funny and so nice,” Lundy said. “He had us cracking up during the commercial breaks.”

Though Lundy could not reveal the results of the show, she said those interested in watching her represent The Gator Nation should watch the entire episode. The show airs at 11 a.m.
