Alachua County Youth Orchestra to perform winter concert at the Phillips Center on Nov. 25
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Alachua County Youth Orchestra (ACYO) will perform their 2007 Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Directed by University of Florida faculty member Gary Langford, the concert is free and open to the public.
The ACYO features students from grades 6-12 who practice weekly at UF. The ACYO has been in existence for 38 years.
In addition to the 7:30 p.m. performance, the orchestra will play at 4 p.m. for the Holiday Traditions/Stop Children’s Cancer benefit event at the Phillips Center. For more information about the ACYO, visit www.acyo.org.
