Horse Farm Hundred rides again

October 8, 2007

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — On Sunday, Oct. 22, faculty, staff, students and alumni of the colleges of Public Health and Health Professions and Veterinary Medicine will hit the road to raise money for student scholarships by riding in the 26th Annual Horse Farm Hundred.

Sponsored by the Gainesville Cycling Club, the Horse Farm Hundred is a non-competitive 100-mile bike tour of Marion County’s horse farm country. The Horse Farm Hundred can also be completed as a 25- or 55-mile ride.

Through rider sponsorships, both teams have raised thousands of dollars for student scholarships. The teams welcome participants from all areas of campus. This is your chance to support the education of future health-care professionals and enjoy a bike tour through the beautiful horse farms of Marion County.

Riders will gather at 7:30 a.m. at Loften High School, 3000 E. University Ave. The ride starts at 8:30 a.m. and refreshments will be served at the start and finish.
