Public invited to stare at stars on Friday nights

September 11, 2007

Friday nights are public nights at the Teaching Observatory on the University of Florida campus.

Hosted by the department of astronomy, the evening event is held from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Public night events depend on weather conditions and are held during the school year only. The observatory is located south of the UF Bookstore Welcome Center, and west of the aerospace engineering building. The public night schedule can be found at www.astro.ufl.edu/publicsched.html.
