Posters sought for genetics confab at UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The UF Genetics Institute invites all faculty, graduate students and research associates to submit abstracts of their latest genetics research for poster sessions at Florida Genetics 2007, a symposium scheduled for Nov. 7-8 at the UF Cancer & Genetics Research Complex.

Complimentary online registration and abstract submission is available at the UFGI Web site atwww.ufgi.ufl.edu. Participants are urged to enter their abstracts as soon as possible.

Five internationally acclaimed genetics researchers, including a member of the National Academy of Sciences, have accepted invitations to present findings at the symposium.

Guests include Michael Snyder of Yale University, Vicki Rosen of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Elizabeth Kellogg of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Thomas G. Whitham of Northern Arizona University and Henry C. Harpending of the University of Utah.
