Harn Museum offers bookmaking workshop

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — “Bookmaking: Handmade Journals & Sketchbooks” is the subject of a one-day workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Harn Museum of Art.

Led by instructor Erin Curry, the workshop will teach participants ages 16 and up how to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, hardcover journal using an ancient bookbinding technique known as the Coptic stitch. Registration is $85 ($75 museum members), and a materials list will be provided prior to the workshop.
