GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A new ceramics exhibit at the University of Florida is creating heat. The Focus Gallery event “H.O.T. Summer” showcases a selection of recent works by current members of the ceramics student organization H.O.T Clay.

H.O.T. stands for “Handbuilt or Thrown” and refers to various ways of working with clay. “H.O.T. Summer” brings together the work of a number of the group’s members who use a variety of styles and methods to showcase the range and depth of the College of Fine Arts ceramic program. The exhibit is open now and runs through Aug. 3 in the Focus Gallery in the UF School of Art and Art History.

The Focus Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The Focus Gallery is located at the College of Fine Arts in the main lobby of Fine Arts Building C. Guest parking permits and maps for directions may be obtained from the university campus main entrance.
