UF choirs present ‘Composers, Cultures and Courage’

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — On Thursday, April 12 the choirs of the University of Florida will present “Composers, Cultures and Courage,” an eclectic selection of pieces by various composers from around the globe. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the University Auditorium.

Will Kesling’s University Choir is the featured ensemble on the program and will be supported by the University of Florida Men’s Glee Club, also conducted by Kesling, and the University Women’s Chorale, with Ineta Jonasus conducting. The ensembles will perform work by composers Peter Louis van Dijk, Russell Wilson and anonymous Russian manuscripts.

UF students get in free with a student ticket and a UF I.D. Admission for the general public is $5. All tickets are available at the Phillips Center Box Office and the University Box Office in the Reitz Student Union. Tickets also are available at the University Auditorium beginning one hour before the performance. Students must present free ticket and UF I.D. to be admitted.
