Workshop to address small-business funding

November 1, 2006

On Nov. 30, the University of Florida’s Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) and its partners will bring national small-business research and technology experts Jim and Gail Greenwood to help startup businesses learn how to access federal funding sources.

The Greenwoods will lead a workshop discussing the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant programs. Attendees will learn who can apply and which agencies participate. The workshop also will teach attendees how to develop a competitive Phase I SBIR or STTR proposal through a four-step process.

Reservations are recommended as seating is limited to 40 workshop participants. For more information, contact Chris Brown in the UF Tech Connect/EDA University Center at cbrown11@rgp.ufl.edu or call 846-1840.
