Gainesville, Fla. — Graduate and Professional (GAP) School Day is for students interested in pursuing advanced degrees upon completion of their undergraduate degrees. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Reitz Student Union Grand Ballroom. The fair features representatives in a number of areas from law to graphic arts from more than 100 graduate and professional schools across the United States.

“Students can expect to find representatives from different schools who have information packets, advice to give and encouragement to offer,” said Nadene Francis, assistant director of public relations at the Career Resource Center. “We really want students to find a program that’s right for them.”

Students are encouraged to wear business casual attire but do not need to bring resumes or portfolios.

“We just want students to bring their curiosity,” Francis said. “We want students to come away with confidence and gain clarity about the variety of options in advanced learning programs.”

GAP takes place only once a year during the fall semester, but the CRC also offers career advising and career counseling for students considering graduate and professional options.
