Harn MUSEs offer interactive museum experience during Museum Nights March 30

March 24, 2006

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Harn Museum University Student Educators (MUSEs) will present an interactive museum experience including gallery talks and art-making activities from 6 to 8 p.m. during Museum Nights March 30.

The presentation, titled “Images and Memories,” will help visitors discover how art and images play a vital role in forming our personal and cultural memories. The evening’s activities will surround the Harn exhibitions American Matrix and Picturing the Times and visitors will also watch a film montage exploring our generation’s identity.

Harn MUSEs (Museum University Student Educators) are 10-15 UF students selected each spring and fall semester who volunteer and receive specialized training on museum exhibitions and program development. The MUSEs then create and present engaging public programs around a common theme during UF Student Government-sponsored Museum Nights.
