Bus service, routes adjusted because of Homecoming

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville Regional Transit System will change bus service and routes Friday because of the Homecoming parade.

RTS will provide reduced service Friday on City Fixed Routes 9, 12, 13, 16, 15, 20, 34, and 35. There will be no service on City Fixed Routes 21 and 36. On Saturday, these routes will follow their regular Saturday schedule. All other City Fixed Routes will follow their regular weekday and Saturday service schedule. There will be regular ADA service on Friday.

RTS will also provide reduced service Friday on the following Campus Shuttle Routes: Park-n-Ride No. 1, Park-n-Ride No. 2, West Circulator (Frat Row), and East Circulator (Sorority Row). There will be no Commuter Lot Shuttle service on Friday and no Lake Wauburg shuttle service on Saturday.

RTS will provide regular service on the following Campus Shuttle Routes on Friday: UF North/South Circulator, UF East/West Circulator, Lakeside, Family Housing and Later Gator. The UF East/West Circulator Shuttle Route will provide regular service on Sunday.

RTS will implement route modifications on most City Fixed Route and Campus Shuttle Routes during the Gator Homecoming Parade on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the parade route is reopened to regular traffic.
