Tickets go on sale for West concert today

Tickets for the Oct. 13 Kanye West concert with special guests Fantasia, Common and Keyshia Cole went on sale at noon today, Sept. 9.

Tickets are $36 for the general public. The first 2,000 UF students to show a valid Gator 1 ID at the University Box Office- Constans Theater will receive a $10 discount. Student tickets are limited to eight tickets per UF ID and one ID per person.

West was nominated for 10 Grammys at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in February. “The College Dropout” won the Best Rap Album award. His single “Jesus Walks” won Best Rap Song, and West also won an award for a songwriting collaboration with Alicia Keys and Harold Lily on “You Don’t Know My Name,” which won for Best R&B Song.

West released his second album, “Late Registration,” on Aug. 30 of this year. The New York Times said that it, “just might be this year’s most anticipated album, in any genre.”
