Faculty development series starts with talk about budget

WHAT: The University of Florida’s Provost Office will host “A Conversation About University Budgets,” the first event of its fall Faculty Development Conversations series.

WHEN: 8 to 10 a.m. Monday

WHERE: Room 282 in the Reitz Student Union

BACKGROUND: This open forum will explore the structural and functional aspects of UF’s financial system. Faculty and others interested in how the university budget system works, including its sources and uses of cash and cash equivalents, are invited to join panelists Ed Poppell, vice president for finance and administration; Kim Tanzer, Faculty Senate chairwoman; and Janie Fouke, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.
