UF: Florida’s consumer confidence shows post-election decline

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida’s consumer confidence declined in November to 76, down four points from the revised October reading of 80, according to a new University of Florida study. However, while consumer confidence is historically low, it is still relatively high post-recession, said Chris McCarty, director of UF’s Survey Research Center in the Bureau of Economic and Business Research.

Lunch to raise funds for Florida Alternative Breaks

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Alternative Breaks will hold a spaghetti lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Chapel of the Incarnation, 1522 W. University Ave., across from Library West.
Tickets are $5 at the Center for Leadership and Service in 301 Peabody Hall or $7 at the door.
