GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida Performing Arts hosts its annual Fundraising Gala – Big Fun on the Bayou – from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts.

The annual event is UFPA’s largest fundraiser of the year and helps fund all of its programs, including outreach. Signature cocktails and a gourmet dinner will be provided by Blue Water Bay, and decorations will be supplied by Keith Watson Productions. Music, dancing, a silent auction and much more will make for a memorable evening with a Bayou theme.

Tickets for Big Fun on the Bayou are $200 each ($175 if bought before Nov. 26) and can be purchased by calling 352-273-2480 or visiting http://bit.ly/PXapel. Sponsorship opportunities for the gala are also available.

For $300, patrons can get a Gala ticket and become a Lagniappe Club Member to join others on Jan. 10 for an exclusive Beignet Bash in a private home where they will enjoy food and beverages and preview Gala ambiance.

UFPA, a not-for-profit organization, was recently named 2011 Best Overall Small Business at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards.
