Cat fertility photo
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Testing has shown a contraceptive vaccination could aid efforts to humanely manage free-roaming cat populations in the United States, said Dr. Julie Levy of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, shown in this file photo. UF veterinarians in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture tested a vaccine that controls fertility in female cats for up to five years. The findings were published in the scientific journal Theriogenology.
