GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Many of the most popular offerings by six area arts organizations are available in a subscription package this month and in the spring.

Tickets for the Gainesville Entertainment Sampler can still be bought for $89 each. Subscribers receive six vouchers – one redeemable for offerings at each of the following:

• Dance Alive National Ballet
• Hippodrome Theatre
• Hippodrome Cinema
• University of Florida School of Music
 (College of Fine Arts)
• University of Florida School of Theatre
and Dance (College of Fine Arts)
• University of Florida Performing Arts

People who subscribe now can still select several of the holiday season’s favorites: “This Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol” at the Hippodrome Theatre; “The Nutcracker” by the Dance Alive National Ballet; and “Agbedidi” presented by the UF School of Theatre and Dance.

UF College of Fine Arts spokesman Andy Howard believes the program will be attractive to new Gainesville arts-goers as well as students.

“There is a vibrant arts community here worth celebrating – we want to share this message with everyone who hasn’t experienced these opportunities,” Howard said. He also suggests the package is a great gift idea for the holidays.
