Sustainability speakers coming to UF

UF survey: Floridians not entirely sold on new property tax measure

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The fate of a proposed property tax amendment that would affect the existing Save Our Homes amendment in a January statewide referendum is too close to call, a new University of Florida survey finds.

Florida voters will decide in January whether to change the state’s property tax system. A new UF survey shows if the vote happened today the measure would fail, but just barely. Results show that even if it passes, a majority of homeowners wouldn’t choose the so-called “super-exemption.” Here’s UF economist David Denslow.

Lecture at Harn Museum features renowned Cuban artist

UF researcher to study depression in Latina women

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida College of Nursing assistant professor Jeanne Marie Stacciarini has received a $202,113 supplementary grant from the National Institutes of Health to study depression in Latinas and promote diversity in health-related research.
