Gloom hovers over the Sunshine State, and it has little to do with Hurricane Wilma’s tear through south Florida. Consumer confidence held steady in October – at its lowest level in twelve years. The University of Florida’s monthly index of statewide consumer confidence shows growing pessimism among consumers about the state and national economies.
